Safepoint picks up UEA Innovation and Impact Award for their Lone Worker Solution.

Now in its third year, the I&I awards celebrate the values of enterprise, research and collaboration. The ceremony was held at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and was hosted by Karen Jones CBE, Chancellor at UEA and founder of Café Rouge. It featured a keynote speech by Prof Ben Garrod, UEA professor and award-winning broadcaster.

Representing Safepoint at the ceremony was CEO Callum Coombes and Head of Design, Matt Rumbelow. Asked about their big win, the pair were jubilant, “We couldn’t believe it! When we started this in 2017, we were just six friends who wanted to help people and to build something cool along the way. It took a lot of hard work (and a lot of help!), but winning an I&I award showed us we’re doing something right. We couldn’t be more grateful towards the UEA panel and towards our amazing team.”

2020 looks to be a monumental year for the Safepoint team. Off the back of their I&I award win, they have released one of their largest feature updates, the Advanced Alert Resolution system, and have some even more exciting news on the way.
